Writers' Room for Season 4
Earlier, on October 9, 2023, it was reported that a writers' room for the show had been established to work on Season 4. It meant the next batch of episodes should be ready to film sometime this year.
Renewal for Season 3 was announced in July 2022 and filming started six months later. If it happens to Season 4 as well, its shooting could begin as soon as April 2024.
Time taken by 'Only Murders in the Building'
For earlier seasons, 'Only Murders in the Building' premiered about seven months after the filming started. Season 2 was filmed between December 2021 and March 2022, and it debuted on Hulu on June 28, 2022. Season 3 followed a similar timeline, filming took place from January to April 2023 and it was released on August 8, 2023.
If Season 4 takes a similar period, 'Only Murders in the Building' could premiere in late 2024, it may come on Hulu around November or December.
