In a post on social media platform X, Sharif said, “Felicitations to @narendramodi on taking oath as the Prime Minister of India.”
While leaders of other neighbouring countries were invited for the oath taking ceremony on Sunday, Sharif was left out of the list of invitees.
Modi, on Sunday took oath as the Prime Minister for the third successive time after BJP emerged as the single largest party with 240 seats in the Lok Sabha. He has formed the government in coalition with support from NDA alliances. The alliance has 292 seats, crossing the halfway mark of 272.
