Seema Haider's husband, Ghulam Haider, remains in Pakistan, as reported by ARY News. Seema, a Pakistani national, entered India along with her four children with the intention of marrying Sachin Meena, an Indian national whom she had met through the online gaming platform PUBG Mobile.
Last year in May, the 27-year-old woman crossed the border into India illegally with her children via Nepal to be with Sachin Meena. The couple settled in Greater Noida and began living together.
However, their plans took a detour when Haider was arrested on July 4, 2023, for entering India without a visa. Sachin, too, faced legal consequences for sheltering illegal immigrants, although he was later released.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs stated that the matter was «under investigation.» Seema was presented before the court and was granted bail.
