Debunking the alignment theory, broadcast meteorologist Joe Rao wrote in a recent column for 'Space' that the rare phenomenon may not be seen from the Earth with the naked eye.

What has NASA said?
Though NASA has confirmed that the alignment will occur across the massive swath of sky in the Northern Hemisphere, Rao has claimed that the planetary positioning with each other and the sun will block most chances of a clear view.
