BCI is being used to help paralyzed people communicate, study dreams and control robots. Elon Musk's brain chip company Neuralink has shown its first patient playing a computer game using its brain implant. It took to social media platform X to live stream Noland Arbaugh using the cursor to play chess online. Arbaugh claimed to have used the brain implant to play the video game Civilization VI. He was paralyzed below his shoulders after he suffered a road accident five years ago.
However, Neuralink is not the only company working on brain devices and brain chips that connect with computers. Talking to 'The Guardian', Kip Ludwig, former Program Director for Neural Engineering at the US National Institutes of Health, said that Neuralink's device is not a «breakthrough». However, he called it a positive development for the patient that they have been able to interface with a computer in a way they were not able to before.

It has received millions of dollars for this project and at present the university is in the third stage of its development.
Using the technology, the soldier uses assisted reality glasses with a special graphene interface to issue brain signal commands to send the robotic dog to different places. The university is working on making the
