PV Sindhu began her quest in the Paris Olympics 2024 with a buoyant start as she defeated her Maldivian opponent Fathimath Nabaaha on Sunday in the first two rounds itself.

It was as clear as day that Sindhu was a dominating force against Nabaaha as she finished the game in not more than 29 minutes with 21-9 and 21-6.
The 10th seeded Indian will take on world No. 75 Kristin Kuuba of Estonia in her second group match on July 31.

Sindhu, a two time Olympian, is on the hunt for her third and hat-trick medal. Notably, she has won a silver medal in the Rio Games in 2016 and a bronze in the last edition in Tokyo.
