Philadelphia Phillies take on their arch-rival Atlanta Braves in their NL Division Series match on Saturday, many things will be at stake for both of the teams. The Braves won their sixth consecutive National League East title and they will meet Phillies for a second straight postseason clash. Last year, Philadelphia scored victories in the best-of-three Wild Card Series and met Atlanta. Braves Manager Brian Snitker said at that time that the Phillies scared him as much as any team in the game.
In last season’s NLDS, the Phillies won Games 3 and 4 by a combined score of 17-4 and they secured a spot in the NL Championship Series. They brought to an end Atlanta’s season in the process. Phillies outfielder-designated hitter Kyle Schwarber said at that time, «We know who they are, they know who we are.»
The Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves game in the NLDS will be held on Saturday, October 7 at Truist Park. The time for the first pitch has not yet been announced.
