Rahul Gandhi on Thursday launched a string of attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the media on the issue of NEET, and said that the BJP leader has been unable to plug alleged paper leaks in competitive exams.
Gandhi said that following the recent Lok Sabha disappointment, PM Modi has “psychologically collapsed, someone even threw chappal at his car.”
The Congress leader was making a reference to a video that has been circulating on social media where a footwear was allegedly hurled at PM Modi’s car in his constituency Varanasi.
Gandhi further said that the country was scared of the Prime Minister but now they are no longer scared of him as there is a strong opposition, claiming the the BJP supremo would now “struggle.”

The Raebareli MP said that the opposition would not be quiet on the alleged NEET scam. Recalling his interactions with people during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Gandhi added that such paper leaks were prevalent in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
The alleged NEET scam involves paper leaks, awarding grace marks, and other irregularities, which has affected more than 20 lakh medical aspirants.
The NEET results were declared on June 4, the day PM Modi was voted for a third term. However, the result in the Lok Sabha election did not go as per the BJP’s expectations. The party had targeted 400 seats along with its alliance NDA. The alliance was restricted to 293 seats, while the
