Rani Durgavati, worth Rs 12,600 crore in BJP-governed Madhya Pradesh, where assembly polls are likely to be held next month.
At an estimated expenditure of approximately Rs 100 crore, the 'Veerangana Rani Durgavati Memorial and Park' will be constructed in Jabalpur, covering an expansive area of nearly 21 acres. According to an official statement, a magnificent bronze statue of the Gond queen, standing at an impressive height of 52 feet, will be a prominent feature of the park.
The memorial is set to include a museum that will focus on the historical aspects of the Gondwana region, showcasing the bravery and fortitude of Rani Durgavati, as stated by the official.
Additionally, it will shed light on the food, art, culture, and lifestyle of not only the Gond community but also other tribal groups.
