In the largecap segment, 15 companies witnessed significant block deals worth Rs 6,668 crore, led by HDFC Bank with a 49 block count, totalling Rs 2,963 crore. The next in line were Axis Bank (Rs 785 crore), Kotak Mahindra Bank (Rs 603 crore), Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company (Rs 325 crore) and UltraTech Cement Company (Rs 325 crore).
Others were, namely Bharti Airtel, Mahindra & Mahindra, NTPC, HDFC Life Insurance Company ICICI Bank, Larsen & Toubro, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises, Asian Paints, Reliance Industries and Torrent Pharma with block deals between Rs 243 crore and Rs 67 crore, shows data from Nuvama.

In the midcap segment, a dozen companies witnessed prominent block deals worth Rs 3,472. The leader in the pack was PB Fintech (Policybazaar) with deal size of Rs 883 crore followed by JSW Infra (Rs 303 crore), Timken India (Rs 108 crore) and Jubilant Foodworks (Rs 74 crore).
The others were Linde India, Max Healthcare, Coromandel International, Sundaram Finance, Endurance Technologies, Oracle Financial Services Software, Navin Fluorine and Coforge which saw deals between Rs 74 crore and 38 crore.
As for the smallcap stocks, block deals worth Rs 941 crore were struck in 12 companies. The number one spot went to Suzlon Energy (Rs 293 crore) followed by Lloyds Metals & Energy (Rs 105 crore) and Sheela Foam (Rs 144 crore).
The others that saw action were KEI Godrej Industries, CCL Products, Alembic Pharma, Ajanta Pharma, Raymond, BLS International, JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals.
