Narendra Modi will flag off two Vande Bharat Express trains from Gorakhpur city of Uttar Pradesh on 7 July. This inauguration will be part of PM Modi's two-day visit of four states. The two Vande Bharat train that will be inaugurated will be Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express and Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express.
The Vande Bharat express on Lucknow-Gorakhpur route is likely to be an eight coach train and will be the first mini version of the semi High speed train in the state. The train will connect the city of Baba Gorakhnath to the city of Lord Ram, Ayodhya and the city of Nawabs, Lucknow. The train will also have a stop at Basti, officials told News18.
Tourist places like Kushinagar, Siddharthnagar Sant Kabir Nagar, a town of the 15th-century mystic poet 'Kabir', will also benefit from improved connectivity. The train will cover a distance of 302 km via Ayodhya junction in less than four hours, while, officials told News18 that it will take 4 hours and 10 minutes. 22411 Arunachal superfast express covers the distance between Gorakhpur and Lucknow via Gonda junction in 4 hours 35 minutes which is the shortest time a train takes on this route. Other trains like 12557 Sapt Kranti superfast express and 12555 Gorakhdham superfast express takes about 4 hours and 50 minutes. The trial run of the train was conducted yesterday i.e.
on 4 July. Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will improve the connectivity between Rajputana and Ahmedabad, a City of Mahatma Gandhi. The train will connect Pali, Abu Road, Palanpur and Mehsana cities on the route.
