Police have asked the public for help to find Richard Pusey, the Porsche-driving former mortgage broker who filmed dying police officers at a 2020 vehicle accident, who is wanted on outstanding warrants.
Victoria Police on Friday released images and a description of Pusey, 45, and in a statement appealed for anyone who may know his current whereabouts to get in contact. He is wanted on two outstanding warrants for contravening a court order, the statement said.
Police released these images of Pusey on Friday.
Pusey is known to travel across Victoria by both vehicle and public transport, police said.
Pusey was jailed in 2022 for 10 months for using a carriage service to cause offence, over the use of graphic pictures.
Four Victoria Police officers died when a truck crashed into them on the side of the Eastern Freeway, where they had pulled over Pusey, who escaped injury.
In August 2021, Pusey was banned for at least a decade from providing financial services or credit by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
Graphic images from the 2020 crash were attached to a complaint which Pusey sent to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority in 2021.
Pusey had lodged a complaint after PSC Insurance Brokers, underwritten by Dawes Motor Insurance, refused to indemnify Pusey’s 2016 Porsche 911, which was significantly damaged in the crash.
Pusey made a $2.2 million insurance claim over the car, which was valued at $415,000.
Pusey was acquitted of a second charge, which alleged he had posted a Google review about Porsche Centre Melbourne using a separate image of the crash as the profile picture.
