James joined Premier Miton in August 2020, after serving as an equity analyst at Merian Global Investors, Old Mutual Global Investors and Aviva Investors.
At Premier Miton, he co-managed the Premier Miton Financials Capital Securities fund alongside head of fixed income Lloyd Harris, who will remain as lead manager of the strategy.
Following James' departure at the end of 2023, Harris will be supported by the firm's wider fixed income team, including Simon Prior, co-manager of the Premier Miton Corporate Bond Monthly Income fund, Hoy Wan, co-manager of the Premier Miton UK Money Market fund, and the firm's team of credit analysts.

The Premier Miton Financials Capital Securities fund was launched in September 2020 and has £195.5m in assets under management. According to data from Morningstar Direct, the strategy returned 5.3% in 2021, -7.4% in 2022 and 6.5% in 2023.
