Prime Minister Modi to unveil projects worth Rs 11,200 crore in Maharashtra
Narendra Modi on Sunday will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate, and dedicate various significant projects in Maharashtra, with a total investment exceeding Rs 11,200 crore, the Prime Minister's office said on Saturday.
The event is scheduled to take place around 12:30 PM via video conferencing.
Among the highlights of the event is the inauguration of the Pune Metro section, which spans from the District Court to Swargate. This marks a significant milestone as it completes the Pune Metro Rail Project (Phase-1).
«Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for Swargate-Katraj Extension of Pune Metro Phase-1 to be developed at the cost of around Rs 2,955 crore. This southern extension of around 5.46 km is completely underground with three stations namely Market Yard, Padmavati and Katraj,» read the press release by the Prime Minister's office.
The cost of the underground section from the District Court to Swargate is approximately Rs 1,810 crore.
