An intense Western Disturbance, manifested as a cyclonic circulation, hovers over Iran, accompanied by a trough aloft in the middle and upper tropospheric westerlies, according to IMD. Concurrently, a high influx of moisture from the Arabian Sea is expected to inundate Northwest India from April 13th to 15th. Various atmospheric phenomena, including cyclonic circulations over south Rajasthan and adjoining north Gujarat, and over the Comorin area, are further shaping the weather patterns.
Under the influence of these systems, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall, coupled with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (ranging from 30 to 40 kmph), is anticipated over Madhya Pradesh on April 13th and 14th. Similar conditions are forecasted over West Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Rajasthan from April 13th to 15th.
Additionally, there's a projection for fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall or snowfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds, across Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand during April 13th to 15th. Isolated hailstorms are expected over certain regions on specific dates, with isolated heavy rainfall or snowfall likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh on April 14th and 15th.
Furthermore, a gradual decrease in temperatures by 2-4°C is anticipated over Northwest India in the next two days, with no significant fluctuations thereafter.
