Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena on Saturday, months after he was sacked by Rajasthan Chief minister Ashok Gehlot. “Gudha has come to Shiv Sena. I welcome him to Shiv Sena family," Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said. Shinde said that Gudha spoke about the safety of women and law and order and he was removed for it.
“What wrong did he say?" the Maharashtra chief minister said. Gudha, later while speaking to news agency ANI, said that he would work with Shinde for the youth and women of Rajasthan. "With Eknath Shinde, I will work for the youth and women of the state...," Gudha said.
Notably, Rajasthan is set to go into assembly polls later this year. Gudha, who was the minister of state for panchayati raj and rural development, was dismissed from the post in July after he cornered the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in the state assembly drawing parallels between sexual violence in strife-hit Manipur and crimes against women in Rajasthan. Following his termination, Gudha claimed he had a 'red diary' that contained details of alleged illegal transactions by Gehlot.
Shinde said that Rajasthan needs improved law and order, safety of women, job opportunities for youths and progress of farmers.
