Jewellers across Uttar Pradesh have reported robust sales of Ram temple coins and Ram Darbar statues in gold and silver, among other articles, ahead of the Ram temple consecration in Ayodhya on Monday.
Ayodhya-based Rajan Jewellers said 20-25 gold coins of one-two grams each, with images of Ram Mandir embossed on them, were sold daily in the past week or so, up from five on average earlier.
«It is a very auspicious occasion for the people of Ayodhya. And so they are purchasing these items to bring fortune and prosperity to their families, even though gold prices are high,» said Mahesh Soni, owner of Rajan Jewellers.

On January 19, Senco Gold & Diamonds launched a special 'SiyaRam Collection' in honour of the Ram temple consecration.
