In the video, Ranbir Kapoor is seen participating in the Christmas flambé tradition, a customary practice where spirits are poured on a pudding and set briefly aflame. Alia Bhatt is seen alongside him in the footage.
The complaint, filed by Sanjay Tiwari, alleges that Kapoor deliberately used intoxicants during the celebration and uttered the phrase "Jai Mata Di," associated with Hinduism.
Tiwari claims that the use of intoxicants in the celebration, especially with religious chants, goes against Hindu traditions where the fire god is invoked before other deities.
