RAPIDX corridor, with the completion of the viaduct between Duhai and Meerut South stations. As per a TOI report, National Capital Region Transport Corporation has compelted the viaduct, bridge that consists of a series of supporting an elevated railway or road, spanning approximately 25 kilometers on around 750 pillars. This achievement signals a step forward in the development of the corridor, which is set to enhance connectivity between Delhi and its neighboring regions.

Of the total 82-kilometer corridor, spanning from Delhi to Ghaziabad and Meerut, a 68-kilometer stretch is located in Uttar Pradesh (UP), while the remaining 14 kilometers fall within Delhi's jurisdiction. The corridor comprises four stations in Delhi, namely Jangpura, Sarai Kale Khan, New Ashok Nagar, and Anand Vihar. Notably, a 17-kilometer priority section from Sahibabad to Duhai is already complete, with plans for public functionality in the near future.

Officials from the NCRTC, the executing agency of the project, have outlined the progress. According to them, more than half of the viaduct's track-laying work has been completed for the entire section, and the rest is projected to conclude by early 2025. The section's viaduct now stretches from Sahibabad to Meerut South, marking a significant achievement in the corridor's expansion.

Operational readiness is a priority for the project, as empty trains are currently being run on the 17-kilometer priority section (Sahibabad to Duhai Depot) to identify and address any potential technical issues before the section becomes fully operational. These trial runs, conducted at intervals of 15 minutes between 6am and 11pm, demonstrate a commitment to a seamless and reliable service. As the project moves
