Officials detailed that the civic body team acted against coaching centers operational in basements, a condition which violates established norms. Notably, among the institutions sealed were IAS Gurukul, Chahal Academy, Plutus Academy, Sai Trading, IAS Setu, Topper's Academy, Dainik Samvad, Civils Daily IAS, Career Power, 99 Notes, Vidya Guru, Guidance IAS, and Easy for IAS. Each of these centers was found breaching the rule against operating in basements. Consequently, they were immediately sealed, and notices were posted on the premises.
The Rau's IAS Study Circle, where the fatal flooding incident occurred, has also been sealed by the authorities. The tragic event unfolded on Saturday evening following heavy rains, causing water to inundate the basement library of the center and disable a biometric entry and exit system. This system failure trapped the students inside, leading to the deaths of two female and one male civil services aspirants.
