For study abroad platform Leverage Edu too, the fall intake has been the largest ever.
«We just doubled from the last year,» said CEO Akshay Chaturvedi. «The competition for talent from India has increased multifold after the pandemic, so scholarships and bursaries have increased as well.»
Others like education services firm Collegify are also experiencing a similar story.
«The number of students going for the fall session has doubled since last year,» said Collegify CEO Adarsh Khandelwal.
On the US intake for the fall of 2023, Piyush Kumar, regional director -South Asia and Mauritius, IDP Education, said: «This year has been incredible; the number has increased, and probably more than pre-pandemic year.» About 25-30% of US enrolments have come from Tier 2/3 cities, added Kumar.
«With China numbers reducing, a lot of universities have started focusing on India. We have a great rise in numbers in Indian students,» said Sumeet Jain, co-founder of study abroad consultancy Yocket.
The bumper admission season is expected to continue for Indian students for courses such as MBAs.
Top business schools are focusing on India as a leading feeder destination.
