Lior Raz, who plays a crucial role in Israeli Netflix drama 'Fauda', on Monday night joined the front line in the ongoing war against Hamas. The actor posted a 20-second video on X, formerly known as Twitter, from Israeli town Sderot — bombed by Hamas — where he had gone to extract two families.
The actor wrote in his tweet that he had joined a group of volunteers, 'Brothers in Arms', to help the extraction process. In the video posted from the southern Israeli town of Sderot, he wrote that he was accompanied by the president of the Israel Democracy Institute Yohanan Plesner, and journalist Avi Yissascharov.
The 51-year-old Raz, a prominent actor known for his work in 'Hit & Run' and '6 Underground', gave a shout-out to the hundreds of brave «brothers in arms» volunteers who have been working round-the-clock to help those living in the south of Israel.
«Accompanied by Yohanan Plesner @yplesner and Avi @issacharoff, I headed down south to join hundreds of brave „brothers in arms“ volunteers who worked tirelessly to assist the population in the south of Israel. We were sent to the bombarded town of Sderot to extract 2 families,» Raz wrote on social media platform, X.
In the video, they can be seen witnessing a rocket attack on Israel by Hamas.
Earlier on Monday, Raz — who portrays the hit character Doron Kabilio in the political thriller 'Fauda' — appealed for calm on his Instagram story, The Jewish Chronicle reported. He wrote: «We are appealing to you — please remember this day even later in the war.

»When the war turns, and we promise you that we Israelis will turn
