Trailer Hints at Voice Changes
The recently released trailer for the upcoming season promises the same sci-fi madness and humor that fans adore but introduces a noticeable change in the voices of Rick and Morty. Justin Roiland, who once provided the voices for both characters, was relieved of his duties by Adult Swim in January after facing domestic violence charges. These charges were later dismissed in March by the Orange County District Attorney's office.
Adult Swim promptly announced its intention to recast the voices with soundalike performers, and this new vocal talent can be heard in the trailer. However, the specific replacements have yet to be officially disclosed.
