The project was marred by disputes, particularly with the Babri Mosque, but the landmark Supreme Court judgment in 2019 allocated the land to the Ram Mandir Trust, empowering the Government of India to oversee the temple's formation. The government allocated the necessary budget, paving the way for construction.
The Ayodhya Ram Mandir is currently in its final stages, with just a few months left for completion.
According to some sources, the grand inauguration of this state-of-the-art temple is scheduled for the 24th of January 2024. This historic event will witness the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, presiding over the proceedings alongside other distinguished delegates.
Construction commenced shortly after the groundbreaking ceremony and the laying of the foundation stone on the 5th of August 2020, which saw bricks engraved with «Jai Shree Ram.» Progress has been steady, with phase one already concluded.
As per the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, the first phase is complete, and the entire construction project is expected to wrap up by January 2024, making it accessible to the general public. The inauguration ceremony will be graced by Prime Minister Modi.
