Robert De Niro's grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez passed away recently. He was 19. Leandro's mother Drena De Niro is an actor and filmmaker. She was adopted by Robert De Niro in 1976 after her mother and actor Diahnne Abbott married him. Robert and Diahnne split in 1988. Leandro was the child of Drena and her then-boyfriend, artist Carlos Rodriguez. Drena paid tribute to her late son in a heartbreaking post on Instagram on Monday, July 3, tagging Carlos. She posted a picture of Leandro, and wrote: «My beautiful sweet angel. I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my belly. You have been my joy my heart and all that was ever pure and real in my life. I wish I was with you right now. Among the responses was by a friend of Drena's, who said: „Drena don't tell me it's true tell me you're joking because I can't believe leo isn’t with us anymore. It’s an horrible news to digest.
