Museridze’s quest to find her biological parents started when she found a birth certificate while cleaning her late mother's home. Upon closer inspection, she noticed a discrepancy in the birth date, which made her suspect she had been adopted. Determined to uncover the truth, Museridze began a search for her origins, turning to social media for help. She created a Facebook group called «Vedzeb,» meaning «I'm Searching,» hoping to reconnect with her birth family.
Her breakthrough came in early 2024 when a woman from rural Georgia contacted her, claiming that her aunt had secretly given birth to a child in Tbilisi in September 1984, which matched the timeframe of Museridze’s birth. After some discussions, the woman agreed to take a DNA test to confirm the link.
While waiting for the results, Museridze called her biological mother, hoping to learn more about her past. The phone call, however, took an unexpected turn. “She started screaming, shouting—she said she hadn’t given birth to a child. She didn’t want anything to do with me,” Museridze recalls, still shaken by the intensity of her mother’s reaction. “I was ready for anything, but her response was beyond anything I could imagine.”
A week later, the DNA test results arrived, confirming that Museridze and the woman she had been in touch with were indeed cousins. Armed with this confirmation, Museridze confronted her mother again, convincing her to reveal the name of her birth father: Gurgen Khorava.
