In his social media post Towli said: “My nine years at Smart IM and my time at Morningstar have been amazing.”
Towli announced his departure on LinkedIn yesterday (23 October) and Morningstar confirmed the move, with a spokesperson saying «we value Ari's contributions to the Morningstar Wealth team, and we wish him well on his next chapter».
The fund manager had worked for almost ten years at Smart Investment Management, the fund management arm of Praemium International, before moving to Morningstar when it took over the firm in July 2022.

Towli was involved in the establishment of Smart Investment Management at Praemium, where he helped develop the investment process for managing active and passive risk graded model portfolios on the Praemium platform.

He also managed the discretionary fund manager's range of positive impact portfolios since inception in July 2016.
Towli said on his post: «It has been a privilege to have been part of such a successful team and I would like to thank my colleagues across the wider firm, who's contribution made everything possible.
»It has been quite an incredible journey and I am looking forward to the next chapter of my career."
