North Korean Intelligence is believed to have fled China where he was working on a project. The concerned official is reported to have escaped with $30 million of funds meant for the hermit kingdom’s weapons modernization program. This has been reported by Money Today that this escape took place last month. This is yet another escape by a member of the North Korean government in recent times. China and North Korea share a good relationship and this relationship at times has been described as ‘devious’ due to the former’s support to North Korea to its nuclear program.
The high ranking official from the North Korean military’s Security Bureau is reported to have embezzled funds to the tune of $30 million. This is 30% of the slush funds belonging to the North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. The total slush meant for weapons modernization is $100 million.

The official was tasked with importing Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tools from China for North Korea’s weapons modernization program.
He is suspected to have fled to South Korea as many of the European nations or even the US do not permit transfer of illegal money into the country.
