Sensex, Nifty flat in early trade as mixed global cues weigh on D-St
The BSE Sensex was up 41 points, or 0.05%, trading at 81,543, while the Nifty50 was down 14 points, or 0.06%, at 24,957 around 9:20 am.
From the Sensex pack, M&M, Maruti Suzuki, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Nestle India, and Kotak Bank opened with losses, while L&T, Infosys, SBI, Reliance Industries, Sun Pharma, and Tech Mahindra posted gains.
Meanwhile, Bajaj Auto shares dropped over 8% in early trade after the company's Q2 FY25 earnings fell short of market expectations.
Mphasis shares surged 4.4% after the company reported a topline that beat consensus expectations, with revenue exceeding estimates and margins expanding.
