Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index 0.42% in an upbeat market

Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 3.83 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 2.54 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 1.98 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(up 1.86 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.76 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.16 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.39 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.3 per cent) and Sanofi India Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was 0.42 per cent at 22668.40 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 221.96 points at 24402.75, while the BSE Sensex was 807.43 points at 80209.72.
