Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index 1.0%

Shares of Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 3.92 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 3.1 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(up 2.1 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 4.02 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.43 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.24 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(down 2.18 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.95 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.0 per cent at 22374.95.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 126.0 points at 24340.85, while the BSE Sensex stood 426.85 points at 79942.18.
