Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index 0.81% in an upbeat market

Granules India Ltd.(up 3.96 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 2.04 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.63 per cent) and Biocon Ltd.(up 1.59 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Sanofi India Ltd.(down 0.44 per cent) and Lupin Ltd.(down 0.12 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was 0.81 per cent at 21718.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 288.41 points at 23742.2, while the BSE Sensex was 934.13 points at 78273.14.
