Pokarna Ltd.(up 14.75%), Ashapura Minechem Ltd.(up 6.01%), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.(up 5.87%), 20 Microns Ltd.(up 5.00%), Oriental Trimex Ltd.(up 4.94%), Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(up 1.50%), MOIL Ltd.(up 1.46%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.28%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.(up 1.12%) and NMDC Ltd.(up 0.74%) stood among the top gainers.
KIOCL Ltd.(down 0.96%), Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(down 0.76%) and Aro Granite Industries Ltd.(down 0.31%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 144.96 points at 24276.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 445.29 points at 80248.08.
UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 3.99%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 3.47%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 3.35%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.47%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.47%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 2.17%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.97%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.79%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.7%) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.62%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
