Stock market update: Power stocks up as market falls
Inox Wind Ltd.(up 9.47%), Torrent Power Ltd.(up 6.00%), Ravindra Energy Ltd.(up 5.00%), Inox Wind Energy Ltd.(up 4.97%), Neueon Towers Ltd.(up 4.82%), GE Power India Ltd.(up 3.72%), Jyoti Structures Ltd.(up 3.17%), GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd.(up 1.60%), Adani Green Energy Ltd.(up 1.55%) and Indo Tech Transformers Ltd.(up 1.48%) were among the top gainers.
Adani Energy Solutions Ltd.(down 3.93%), Energy Development Company Ltd.(down 2.17%), Reliance Power Ltd.(down 1.81%), Transformers & Rectifiers(India)Ltd.(down 1.66%), India Power Corporation Ltd.(down 1.50%), Adani Power Ltd.(down 1.47%), JSW Energy Ltd.(down 1.30%), Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd.(down 1.26%), Orient Green Power Company Ltd.(down 1.20%) and NTPC Ltd.(down 0.99%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 4.6 points at 24126.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 109.18 points at 79693.61 at around 10:39AM.
Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.59%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 2.48%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.33%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.72%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.58%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.53%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.51%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.06%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.01%) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 0.96%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
