Shah Rukh Khan's latest cinematic venture, 'Dunki,' directed by Rajkumar Hirani, hit the silver screens on December 21, adding another feather to SRK's cap after the successes of 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan' earlier this year.
The film, a collaborative effort by JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films, features a stellar ensemble cast including Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover.
Despite its non-holiday release, 'Dunki' opened to a commendable start, raking in Rs 29.2 crore on the first day. The second day continued the positive trend, with the film securing an additional Rs 20 crore, bringing the total collection to an impressive Rs 49.20 crore.

Mumbai took the lead with a 46 per cent occupancy rate, closely followed by Chennai at 40 per cent, while Kolkata secured a respectable 38.75 per cent.
Delhi and NCR recorded a 33 per cent occupancy, indicating a strong nationwide appeal. With the festive season and holidays in full swing, industry experts predict a further surge in box office numbers.
'Dunki' unfolds as a comedy-drama, delving into the world of illegal immigration through a technique known as 'donkey flight.'
The film, co-written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon, showcases the camaraderie among its diverse characters.
