The NSE Nifty index traded 92.35 points up at 20993.5, while BSE Sensex was up 310.47 points at 69832.16 as of 10:50AM(IST)on December 08.
In the Nifty index, JSW Steel Ltd.(up 3.56 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.27 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.78 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.77 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.50 per cent) were among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.69 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) were among the top losers.
