The NSE Nifty index was trading 162.71 points down at 21893.0, while BSE Sensex was down 506.59 points at 72241.83 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 0.92 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.89 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.74 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.49 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.
