In the Nifty index, Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.10 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.64 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.58 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.51 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.40 per cent) were among the top gainers.
