History enthusiasts and those fans who love watching Shogun have some good news coming their way. FX and Hulu are keen to take this series beyond Season 1 and have set up some space for the writers to brainstorm and come up with new ideas. This has been reported by Movie Web.
In news that is exciting for the fans, not one but 2 more Seasons are being planned based on this historical drama. It has been adopted from a book with the same title written by James Clavell.
Season 1 was released on February 27, 2024 and has received great reviews, even as fans continue to dive deep into Japanese history.

There is still no information on the release date of Season 2 and Season 3. The writers will dictate the terms depending on their script.
While the upcoming series may have a different storyline, Season 1 followed the storyline and outline given in the book. It is set in early 17th Century Japan. As the country heralds the year 1600, Lord Yoshii Toranaga is busy fighting for his life against his enemies on the Council of Regents. As Japan faces an internal battle, a European ship is docked at a coastal town, near a fishing village.
