SIDBI in association with Guwahati-based Youthcove Foundation organized the MSME Cluster Outreach Programme at Brass and Bell Metal Cluster at Hajo, Kamrup District.
This event was organized with the support of Industries, Commerce, and Public Enterprise Department, District Industries and Commerce Centre (DI&CC), and MSME Development & Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO). An approximately 250 participants attended this event.
The programme was aimed at garnering valuable resources and support to the Brass and Bell Metal artisans of the Hajo, Kamrup cluster. The programme featured informative sessions on market trends, skill development and networking opportunities with concerned government departments and banks. This kick-off cluster outreach programme is a first-of-its–kind initiative by SIDBI in association with Youthcove Foundation and Annexion, a hyper-local NGO of Hajo.
Pradip Kumar Nath, Deputy General Manager, SIDBI, stated that SIDBI would continue this initiative through need-based Skills Development Workshops for the much coveted indigenous Brass and Bell Metal artisans of Hajo for design up gradation and business knowhow.
