Spain faced an unusual situation when she accidentally swallowed her toothbrush while trying to clear a piece of turkey stuck in her throat. The incident occurred on November 29 while the woman, Heizea, was having a meal.
Choking on the turkey, she used her toothbrush to help, but it ended up going into her throat along with the dislodged food.
Despite the unusual circumstances, Heizea remarkably felt no pain during the entire ordeal. With her father unable to assist due to a wheelchair-bound condition, she took swift action.
Rushed to the hospital, X-rays confirmed the presence of the toothbrush, leading to a thorough three-hour examination and diagnosis.
In a 40-minute procedure conducted under sedation, doctors successfully removed the toothbrush without resorting to surgery.
