The cast of «Star Trek: Prodigy» returns for a new mission. After escaping the Delta Quadrant and defeating the Diviner, the crew now embarks on a new adventure. As Starfleet cadets, they have a new objective. The new trailer for the animated series' second season shows their upcoming journey. All twenty episodes of the new season will release on Netflix on July 1.
Plot
In the first season, a group of teenagers found the abandoned USS Protostar. They were Dal, Gwyn, Rok-Tahk, Zero, Jankom Pog, and Murf. They used the Protostar to escape their prison planet. Guided by a holographic Admiral Kathryn Janeway, they navigated their way to Federation space. The team saved Starfleet but lost the Protostar and the holographic Janeway. Now, as Starfleet cadets, they join the real Janeway on the USS Voyager-A. Their mission is to return to the Delta Quadrant and find Chakotay, the Protostar's original captain. Along their journey, they encounter aliens, monsters, and a time paradox.
Cast
Season 2 brings back the main characters Dal, Rok-Tahk, Zero, Jankom Pog, and Murf. Gwyn also returns, having chosen to go back to her people, the Vau N'Akat. The cast will also include Robert Picardo as The Doctor. Several characters from the first season return, including Doctor Noum, Commander Tysess, Asencia, and Admiral Edward Jellico.
