Cast Karim Diané and Zoë Steiner will join the new series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, on Paramount+. The series stars Holly Hunter and Paul Giamatti. Diané and Steiner will be part of a new class of Starfleet cadets.
Series Overview
The series will follow new Starfleet cadets as they come of age in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy. Diané and Steiner join Kerrice Brooks, Bella Shepard, and George Hawkins. Hunter plays the captain and chancellor of Starfleet Academy, while Giamatti is the season's villain.
Plot Star Trek: Starfleet Academy introduces a young group of cadets pursuing a common dream of hope and optimism. Under the watchful eyes of their instructors, they learn what it takes to become Starfleet officers. They navigate friendships, rivalries, first loves, and a new enemy threatening the Academy and the Federation.

Kurtzman and Noga Landau are co-showrunners and executive producers. Gaia Violo, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Jenny Lumet, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth, Frank Siracusa, and John Weber also serve as executive producers. Gaia Violo wrote the premiere episode. The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.
