The patch aims to address long-standing quest issues, such as problems with the «Eye of the Storm» quest line. Players faced challenges like being unable to dock with the Legacy, data transfer not initiating, and Temples not appearing in «Into the Unknown.» These hindrances will no longer impede Constellation's exploration of the cosmos.
The update includes stability improvements alongside graphical enhancements. These range from additional widescreen support to refined textures, lighting, and shadows. Bethesda showcased these improvements with a 'before and after' example in a recent Twitter/X thread.
The early patch details also mention adjustments like sun disk geometry, planet ring shadows, prevention of bulldozed objects reappearing at Outposts, marking ship hatches as inaccessible, and resolving issues with asteroids following ships.
