Steve Bannon, who is the former chief strategist to US President Donald Trump reportedly criticized tech billionaires like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg while labeling their attendance as an ‘official surrender’ to US President Donald Trump, reported USA Today.
According to USA Today, during an appearance on ABC's ‘This Week’, Steve Bannon referred to the billionaires as ‘supplicants’ who are now seeking favor after previously opposing US President Donald Trump. Adding onto that, he expressed severe skepticism about Mark Zuckerberg's recent overtures towards the US President Donald Trump administration while suggesting that Mark Zuckerberg's change of heart came too late and questioning his loyalty.
Steve Bannon has also been vocal against Tesla CEO Elon Musk whom he called ‘truly evil’ for supporting H-1B visas for skilled foreign worker which is a stance that Steve Bannon and many conservatives actually oppose, asserted USA Today. He also stated that he would have Elon Musk removed from the inauguration if necessary.
In spite of Tesla CEO Elon Musk's significant financial support for US President Donald Trump's campaign and his role in leading the newly established Department of Government Efficiency, Steve Bannon still remains critical of his alignment with the MAGA movement.
