Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 12.01%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 5.49%), Aries Agro(up 4.10%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 2.95%), Sikko Industries(up 2.35%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 2.24%), Rama Phosphates(up 1.98%), National Fertilizer(up 1.92%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 1.53%) and G S F C(up 1.17%) stood among the top gainers.
Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 3.98%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.85%), Coromandel International(down 0.60%) and Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.41%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 36.6 points up at 19342.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 79.22 points at 65075.82.
Hindalco Industries(up 2.18%), UPL Ltd(up 2.13%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.99%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.92%), Tata Steel(up 1.66%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.39%), Adani Enterprises(up 1.38%), JSW Steel(up 1.25%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.2%) and Tech Mahindra(up 1.12%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bharti Airtel(down 1.74%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.16%), Axis Bank(down 0.96%), Reliance Industries(down 0.96%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.9%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.66%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.55%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.48%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.42%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.4%) closed in the red.
