Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

Sikko Industries(up 2.71%), Agro Phos(up 1.89%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 1.85%), ZUARIAGRO(up 1.41%), Bohra Industries(up 1.40%), Paradeep Phosphates(up 1.34%), Coromandel International(up 1.32%), National Fertilizer(up 1.31%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 1.31%) and Madras Fertlizers(up 1.28%) stood among the top gainers.
Aries Agro(down 1.36%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.89%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 0.80%), G S F C(down 0.79%) and Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.46%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 97.35 points up at 19230.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 282.88 points at 64363.78.
Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 5.44%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 2.72%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 2.68%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 2.28%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 2.28%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.04%), UPL Ltd.(up 1.76%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.73%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.73%) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.57%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 2.5%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.41%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.05%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.74%), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.67%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.56%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.5%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.46%), NTPC Ltd.(down 0.38%) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.27%) closed in the red.
