Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises
Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 2.33%), KIOCL(up 1.46%), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores(up 1.31%), Coal India(up 0.79%), Oriental Trimex(up 0.71%), Pokarna(up 0.68%), 20 Microns(up 0.58%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 0.45%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.30%) and Ashapura Minechem(up 0.30%) were among the top gainers.
NMDC Ltd(down 3.34%), MOIL(down 1.92%), Aro Granite Industries(down 1.13%) and Lexus Granito(down 0.37%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 181.7 points up at 19625.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 598.46 points at 65532.33 at around 09:59AM.
Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 4.2%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 3.13%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.9%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.63%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.43%), Infosys Ltd.(up 2.2%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.98%), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.97%), UPL Ltd.(up 1.86%) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.75%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
