Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises
Adani Power(up 5.19%), Karma Energy(up 4.99%), NTPC(up 4.90%), Inox wind(up 3.71%), Inox Wind Energy(up 3.68%), Voltamp Transformers(up 3.40%), JSW Energy(up 3.34%), NHPC(up 3.31%), Tata Power Company(up 3.23%) and Power & Instrumentation(Gujarat)(up 2.30%) were among the top gainers.
Suzlon Energy(down 2.70%), Alstom T&D India(down 1.41%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 1.15%), DPSC(down 0.24%), GE Power India Limited(down 0.15%) and Gujarat Industries Power(down 0.03%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 126.2 points up at 20259.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 455.15 points at 67443.59 at around 10:45AM.
NTPC Ltd.(up 4.82%), ITC Ltd.(up 2.67%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.2%), Coal India Ltd.(up 2.11%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 2.1%), State Bank of India(up 1.46%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.41%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.34%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.26%) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.22%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
