Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market falls
Pokarna(up 6.25%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 1.78%), Ashapura Minechem(up 0.80%), KIOCL(up 0.74%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.70%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 0.36%) and Lexus Granito(up 0.27%) were among the top gainers. Oriental Trimex(down 4.17%), MOIL(down 1.38%), Aro Granite Industries(down 0.73%), Coal India(down 0.39%) and NMDC Ltd(down 0.26%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 67.5 points down at 19397.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 229.26 points at 65310.16 at around 10:24AM. Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.04%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.39%), Adani Enterprises(up 0.85%), Axis Bank(up 0.83%), State Bank of India(up 0.47%), IndusInd Bank(up 0.46%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.39%), Maruti Suzuki(up 0.34%), Bajaj Finserv(up 0.28%) and NTPC(up 0.25%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
